CALADIUM ESCULENTUM
Like the "Black Magic" variety, Elephant Ears plants are known for their abundant green foliage and their dramatic display. Their water requirements range from moderate to high, and they thrive in soil that is either moist and well-drained or poorly drained. The best soil types for these plants are clay, loamy, or sandy, with a pH level that is acidic to neutral. The optimal planting time is between April and May, with leaf formation typically occurring from June to August.
